A plasma is generated by providing RF (radio frequency) energy to a gas. When electrons or photons collide with neutral atoms and molecules, charged particles are generated to form a plasma. The plasma generated can be used in several applications including manufacturing for deposition of material, surface cleaning, and surface modification.
